Oh, and we can't leave out a 4 rogue party. Get an orc rogue tanking with grd and gilian, and the rest wield the highest damage crap they can. (Like my dwarf rogue with his 80 club skill and krakadoom!!!) No elfies or helfs, just orc, human or dwarf. I'd just like to see all of the smaller stuff die instantly with 4 backstabs in one round. I think lvl 19 npcs would probably be brought down to hurt or sw just from the stabs. ;D And needless to say, everything would be lying down during the fights. *grin* Could be interesting.

alignment wouldn't be a problem at all for the 4 necro party. the biggest problem i see is going through 3 loads of meds binding the 4 necros and the 4 undead. with the spare sps that you'll have from not having to preserve constantly, you can throw a good bit of rots, which do wonders for your align

all fighter party: the member that is tanking is entirely pot/elixir relient. i don't like that.
all necro party: stupid align crap. i mean, even if they rot? are they all going to be able to stay at least nasty? i think they are going to be riding the fence the whole party. having an undead go unresponsive at the 30m mark sucks.
all rogue party: granted, stabs will help. but what then? they don't do enough damage. the tank will be entirely pot/elixir relient, like the fighter party. i'm not sure about this one.
all cleric party: is this doable? i know a 2man party is. nine used to rave about his 2man cleric parties like they were going out of style. i've never really liked em that much.
all pally party: is it possible the could get stuck on some good-aligned npc's? hrm..
all ranger party: i haven't used the new wolves enough to know whether or not this party would be feasible. i just really don't know enough good rangers that could pull it off, as calvin stated. also, what's the damage diff between a gigantic wolf and an enormous one? would thorn also be a possibility in this category? i know he is pretty anti-partying unless it's with quita..
i think the best party is going to be a combo of the classes, using them all to the best of their abilities. it also seems that a common denominator in the mixed parties listed above is the orc fighter. now, does anyone know any decent orc fighters? i guess i could make one...

regarding 4 rogue parties. As far as I can recall, you can only backstab once on a monster. Additional backstabs would cause the target to dodge said backstab and attack the new attacker. As for a 4 Necro party, is peblo really that good? I'm skeptical that he could join our ranks

Peblo tanking - No Prep - No Pots in Party - Idle for 15 Minutes
Name : AWARE Total XP : 316828 Time : 1 Hours 0 Mins
Name Lvl HP SP Line XP Share XP
Leader Durst 17 130 123 ON 47 % 149514 Peblo 19 154 126 ON 52 % 167116
This is just mediocre Peblo action.. imo he is better than alot of other necros "in your ranks".

Heheh, the only necros I would consider "in my ranks" would be Lunger and Rey's Necro alt. If you are proposing Peblo is "a lot better" (not equal but superior) than say Lunger, well then....ok
If you are saying Peblo is a lot better than me, you're definitely right as everyone would jump to agree.
Referencing my prior comment specifically, Peblo is well aware I like to dis him constantly on these boards. Besides he's just not as hardcore as some of the other necros.
Lastly, who are you again? I prefer that the common AA scum not address me directly.

Well if you consider in your ranks You/Lunger/Rey then we could call you the all-star starting line up, Peblo would be your reserve on the bench, but still in the game. As for who I am - Just think of me as non-common aa scum aside - I've bashed for you quite a few times and would never doubt your ability as a necro or rogue

just to be lazy i ain't even gonna comment my place in a party like that or my abilities as a necro, if u wanna bash for me then ask, want a basher who does what u want (ie not assistin nore need spankin to drop heals) ask... that is all i say and will say the point is that i know my abilities and i settle with that

I'll still claim its rather hard to be hardcore and NOT be on hoh, you'll easily get on it by accident...
When Ivan first got on hoh, it was due to a ld.
I only regret never trying for a real xp run, and now I never will.

See though, I've been on HoH in 3 classes (all gone now due to suicides though) and I am by far - NOT hardcore. So I think HoH isn't a measure of a player.. *shrug*

Hoh is to some degree a measure of skills...
Fear the numbers guys like Lunger, Sinister, etc are pulling, they are number ones on the lists there because... they are number ones.
Anyone with half a brain, could easily get on several lists though.

I agree with your posts with regards to the hoh. Which of course was created by a non-hardcore guy.
However at least one alcove is a true reflection of numbers, time management, hardcoreness and lunacy. Of course that is the lifetime efficiency alcove. The other is total lifetime exp imo.
