There are 4 damascene platemail parts.
helm, breastplate, cuisses and vambraces. with the full set you have protection on head, heavy body, arms and legs. All the parts eval as "fine" and when you wear all parts together you get a bonus. Also, the helm has a visor which can be lowered (then worn, is this a bug?) for extra protection. They can not be blessed but they kick ass, I've played with them a few times and I have to say I like them alot. All these parts come from summoning demons. I will leave it up to you to find out which corpse gives you what demon.
I've also found some other nice stuff, for example a banded mail helmet of protection with "good" protection and a splinted mail helmet of absorbtion with "splendid" protection. Now I don't really remember which evaled as which but one was splendid and the other was good.
I've also found some variations of leggings, vambraces and breastplates, pretty similar to t-hunt items. I got a breastplate last night which protected me from fuzzies. Wahoo!
And last but not least, there are the orbs. Now these really rock. They are moderately difficult exotics with extra fire or cold based damage. On a fighter with high exotic and high 2 weapon, they are awesome.
You don't believe me? Try the fire orbs in steading...
Pris, your areas rock. Great work!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that most of the demons use fear and they follow you. So beware. If you're a necro, just sit down and let your undead do the work.

thanx for that Rey.
I have figured out how to get the damascene stuff now. I was weighing them up and they are quite heavy! each bit weighs 3 bottles each so the full suit weights 12. has anyone checked to see what they weigh while worn?

The tank in my party was using some armour - something or other of the ghost.
Anyone else tried this yet? According to him it was quite nice.

You cast Identify on the breastplate... Your Identify spell tells you: This is a banded mail breastplate of the ghost. It causes parts of the wearer's body to become insubstantial and uninjurable during combat.
Guess if it's good or not.

What's the name of a banded mail breastplate of the ghost? *ponder* Good question. Who could we ask what the name of a banded mail breastplate of the ghost would be? *think* Oh... maybe it's "A banded mail breastplate of the ghost". Or, it could be "The banded mail breastplate of the ghost". *shrug* That's interesting that "It causes parts of the wearer's body to become insubstantial and uninjurable during combat." What parts? And what does that do to your AC? *ponder* Does it boost those parts to Beyond Perfect? Or does it give your overall AC a big boost? Or does it just perform a check each round of where the NPC's hit is going to go, and if your legs and neck are unhittable, they always miss when the hit's gonna go there? *ponder* It would be interesting to find out just how it works. *grin* Of course, just knowing that it rocks, and you don't burn heals wearing it would be enough for me.

The tank that was wearing it last night claimed that thw weapon would pass right through certain parts of his body. I'll have to inquire to find out exactly how it worked.

yea if the npc hits you on the head, and you have helm of the ghost or something you get the the hit passes right through your head or something, the npc misses, you take no damage. so a full armour gear of the ghost would be like, no melee damage i guess, just spell.

I think it's more like there's a chance the blow will pass through you. I was still getting body hits while wearing the breastplate, but every few attacks that aimed at the body, that bodypart would insubstantiate, causing a miss.
I was told it evalled as adequate, too, so don't flip out trying to get a full set. It's just some nice fun armour.
