Seems like Tower Shield is pretty hardcore, and a sweet addition to classes like the Cleric. What would be a nice badass 1h weapon to go along with it, if you wanted to specialize and get Weapon Expert?
Club: Destructor & Heavy Jewel Encrusted Mace Longsword: Outstanding Sword (1h) & Starblade Staff: Staff of Protection & Staff of Tarran
Seems like Outstanding Sword's stumble effect mixed with Tower Shield bash would be awesome. Throw in a fighter using Flail of Ancient Demolition or Dire Flail and might be able to keep the enemy on the floor the whole time?
Clubs are a decent choice because of the selection. Plus if you ever bash you can wield the two-handed ones.
The staves are there because of the additional AC they offer when wielded, would be nice for a tank.

After doing some testing, just FYI, the tower shield weighs a lot, requires level 22 and 17 strength to wield.
It uses 25 sps to "bash" an opponent, only opponents that can be tripped by a rogue's ability, are bashable.
They will "sit" down when "bashed", NOT "lie" down like a rogue's trip.
While lying down you deal 50% less damage, and take 100% more.
While sitting down, you deal 25% less damage, and take 50% more.
Obviously a Rogue's trip is 2x better than "bash" from tower shield, and costs the same amount of sps. But it's a nice addition to the other classes, like a soloing cleric.

Just want to make an extra note while bolas and rogue trips are better its important to remember that tower shield also does dmg to opponents (not to mention it NEVER misses like trip and bolas). It also evals as ap better then both wall shield and fancy shield. I would also recommend using flail skill with the shield along with above mentioned.
Also on a side note dire flail doesn't trip. Just so people dont get confused. It just "scares" an opponent into skipping rounds of hitting you. Which is almost as awesome as trips.

Bashy shield and SoT, but more-so bashy shield, has made fighter tanking with great exp and profit easy as pie; it gives fighters a useful in-combat use for sps to increase overall heal efficiency, and not to mention the usefulness of the whole setup. It puts fighters somewhat close to rogues in efficiency's sense, at least when using defend block and GoT with it all
