Have you noticed that Tanks basically never log in these days?
How rare it is to see a party with more thank 2 people (both of which are typically two peas in a pod that wouldn't have you interrupt their little love-duo).
And you can't seem to inspire any of the would-be tanks to tank for you. Tanking is a lot to ask of someone. When you tank, you're pressured (or should be), to net good experience for all party members, and if you're someone who notices your own efficiency, even if you don't particularly care about it, you might notice it dropping significantly when you take on a basher. That's usually because parties don't become efficient until there's more like 3 bashers. Anything less than that, and the tank usually suffers in EXP/Minute.
Unfortunately, the few times a tank actually wants to tank in Today's AA, even he has trouble finding willing and able bashers. Parties are practically a thing of the past. In my idleness, I noticed during the recent AA Party/EXP Marathon, that only Scythe possessed a party of any significance whatsoever, and at times, the party in question wasn't even pure-scythe, but also seemed to have a serving-wench from the Bear's Guild, at times. Levek could apparently not find it in his heart to take a break from his other duties to participate; he wouldn't want to tarnish his ever-climbing rank for least-efficient-yet-wealthy, and rightfully so.
So, how does a fighter solo, and I mean REALLY solo in Today's AA? Fighters are notorious for one thing, and that's bashing. But bashing is a thing of the past, now.
Let's say you're a solo fighter, and you want to just sweep through three areas in a row, could a fighter efficiently go thoroughly through Orc Mountain (yummy cash and EXP), perhaps avoiding only Alzarov, then straight to Fairy Ring, followed by Wyvern/General/Huge Dragon, and come out richer in coinage? Or is that asking too much? If it's not asking too much, does he do it with notebook-berserk, or does he sacrifice a little damage so that he can parry?
Let's assume that no ficer or any player at all (*cough* chainstaff/trillion suit *cough*) is willing to help this fighter with ANY equipment whatsoever. He's essentially playing in AA all by himself, has to hunt down his own equipment from start to finish. Sadly that scenario is not far from the truth.
