I'd like to see a new amulet type thing, and another good container. You pretty much covered the heavy body, head, arms, and legs with too many options to think about in the Flaw area. Right now, for amulet-type things, you have gammy and mon. (Well, spidey, but that's int, not prot... and gold amulet don't do enough to make it worthwhile... and the rest of the amulet-type-things all have specific purposes, or they're junk.) There's 5 golden amulets, 1 mon. Would be nice to have a few more floating around. And with the Geo situation the way it is now, it'd be nice to have a -good- option for when another guild has temporary possession of Geo... and something for the rest of the mud to use for any normal time. *grin*
It'd even be nice to have another BOG type container... unique, holds a ton, lets you carry more stuff. *shrug* I'm all about less trips to the shop and more killing.
OH!!! And how bout a high level, (ex skilled) unique shortsword, and ditto for flail. (Or just get the person who re-coded the gnoll temple to give us back Dameron, Arcane Staff and Demon Plate Armour and get rid of that pos Crosier waste-o-space... *sigh* Like THAT'll ever happen. Why in God's name they recoded that area in the first place, I'll never know... I -loved- that area, loved getting the avatar to come out, freakin adored dameron, and got, well, um, a nice feeling... whenever I got my hands on dpa. Item number 397 on my list of things the wizzies in charge did that the players hated, yet they won't change back cuz they're stubborn pigheaded bastidges.) </rant>

Fair call that. I did have a hbody, arm, leg unique armour in this area that I'm now going to change to a neck ac armour. Calvin's right, I did various armours to death in Flaw and it's about time certain other armours got a look in. If I can think of a decent 'power' to give a pair of gloves called 'Antana's touch' then I'll add the gloves. Boots are done in a pair called 'Antana's journey', no uniques but 'special' in the same way Flaw's stuff is. Flail - check. Container I'll only do if I can think of an interesting 'twist' to give it. Maybe two packs linked to each other where what you put in one pack appears automatically in the other pack instead regardless of distance? I'm wary that with canvas packs, knight packs, knapsacks, bog and provisions' sack decent containers are already pretty easy to find. Maybe 'antana's touch' can let you 'fold' objects in a magical manner that reduces their weight somewhat? That might be cool. I'll give it some more thought.
Yours, Pris

Antana's touch seems like something that'd be more inclined towards healing either yourself or others... Or something defensive... *scratch* my creativity is pretty limited most of the time, so I'll just quit while I'm ahead.

For a container I had a nifty idea. Have an alignment based container. You could have it based on extremity of alignment. So for someone really evil, it would be a GREAT container, and the same for someone saintlylike. But for those crazy nuetral folks it'd just be like a ranger pack. I think that would add a nice twist to it and make it popular among the extreme align classes (necro/pally)

Several of those "decent containers" you list are actually pretty crap, and the reason why people are so pissed with Levek is that he is pretty much taking away the rugged knapsack for scythers to use. Pretty much the only decent container on aa.
And AAAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH no more things depending on alignment.

Someone is going to have to walk me through this container issue; when I was in my serious mortal phase the ONLY container of use was the provisions' sack. I log on a mortal and I'm quite happy with just a fine fur pack so I don't really think I fully grasp the problems.
Almost all the npcs in this area utilise 'some' kind of container so this IS probably a perfect excuse for getting some kind of new container into the game but there's no way I can make anything that is as good as a knapsack, or even almost as good since why would anyone bother doing all that claiming when you could just kill a couple of npcs?
Would you be happy with something that is noticeably not as good as a knapsack or would it just disappoint people and piss them off?

well personally I could go for something that'd hold maybe less than the others but reduce the weight nicely... since I tend to solo and most of the items in my packs are heals.
Since you probably want to cater to the larger group of players (partying groups)... maybe the replacement spawn of the pack is noticeably worse than a knapsack? (unless the container is not going to be unique... then I'm on the wrong train of thought)

True... That's where the unique container idea could make sense. *peer* And if you make another container that's not as good as geo knapsacks... that'd just mean we'd have one more canvas pack, silk pack, knigglet pack, soft sack, etc etc. So I guess maybe the unique idea has more merit. *shrug* And as for the whole container issue... As it is right now, any bashers that have a clue carry at least 2 containers to be able to carry the max load. I always carry 2 knapsacks, or bog and a knapsack, and a pouch for gum, cigars, fire gem, and bolas/extra boomers. The reason for the two sacks, is that when you're carrying one, and you fill it, all of the extra eq has to stay in your normal inventory, and you can only hold so much. With the second container, you can throw that junk in it, and free up more room to carry more stuff. Now when you're tanking, you really don't need double containers, because with all of the armour you're carrying, most times you won't even be able to fill up the first sack with heals. (Radiant armour and star armour, you can get good use out of the second sack because they're so light.) If you're a basher on heals, you really don't need the second container either. (unless you're carrying a boat load of medicines and knigglets.) If you're the "eq" basher, however, double containers is a must. The reason container size/quality is so important, is that the time you spend going to a shop, and selling stuff, is time that you're not killing things and making exp. If your containers are small, that means more trips to the shop, and more non-exp-gaining time. If they're big, and hold a lot, you can cut the trips down a lot. Basically, smaller containers = selling more often... selling more often = less exp... less exp = wasted time... wasted time = pissed off piggys.

hrmm, I messed up my vote. I meant to vote for gloves. something like from ad&d "gloves of cat's grace" giving +1 or +2 dex or something. I'd hog those all reboot, every reboot. anything similar to cloak of air. but that's just me being a greedy skill-wanting fighter. orc fighter... 18 str, 19 or 20 dex with gloves and cblade? dude............
hmm... or even some gloves of gods of swiftness that can self haste for 5-10 rounds once every 5-10m or so... i'd kill for those, too. to balance 'em, maybe you'd hafta sacrifice some gold to the gods which grant the ability or something equally as paldin-essque.
a prismatic amulet/ring thing might be cool. some crazy quest of gathering components, killing protectors of the prism crap or whatever, then a questish thing to craft the ammy/ring... body prot and like +5 or +10 to fire, cold, magic...
mmm sleep

i don't understand why someone should have to get bloody feet (ie lose sps) when they aren't even using paths and are just fast typers. i remember after it was implemented and nanji getting pissed. that ol' fucker ALWAYS used telnet and he'd still the message. wtf? penalizing someone for being a fast typer is like.. calvin bashing for.. buckingham.
