I wanted to explore this area today, but as I entered the gates I found an "up" direction, where I went... and was branded a spy...
Anyone know what the crimes are in Drak? And do your crimes stick on your character forever, or only up to a point?

Drak is nice to you, unless you break a rule. Then you're branded a criminal, and any guard/militiaman/horseorc in the place attacks you on sight. The walls around the city are off limits. If you go up and noone's there to see you, you're ok. But if you come down and the guard below reset, he'll attack you. If you run into the wall guard with his nifty great bow, he'll put a hurtin on you. Once that happens... guess what? You're now a criminal!
If you kill anything in the city, you're a criminal. Now, you might get away with killing something minor that's not a guard without getting branded a criminal right away. But you're pretty much screwed if you kill anything. Oh, and if you're really unlucky, you can get your butt thrown in the jail by the horseorc. That's all kinds of new fun. You can manage to get yourself out using the time tested method of breaking out of dungeons. (Yeah, spoons suck to dig out of a dungeon with, but they do work!)
The crimes stick with your character forever!!! (or until the next reboot. *peer* ) So don't worry too much, just wait till the next boot to explore. Oh yeah, and if you quit in Drak, you relog in Drak. So if you pick a fight, and lose, and decide to quit out... ya might wanna wait until the next reboot to play that alt again. Cuz Drak has a nice habit of relogging you into the game in rooms with aggro guards. *grin*
Good luck, and have fun exploring one of the most in-depth, fun, best coded areas on the game!

Yeah, nearly gave me a heart attack... After getting shot at by the guard up on the wall, I started running in, and got caught between palace guards and an incoming horseorc... I quit out and relogged only to find I was still there with 40 life.
Anyway, I think I'll pay it another visit. Looks like an awesome place.

It is. There's a reason that most of the better players love the place and would vote it their favorite area in the game. (myself included)

Well, I had fun exploring it with my paladin, though he's not strong enough to do everything I wanted to. Maybe I'll come back when my rogue is nice and big... looks like a lot of things could be accomplished with a grapple and some gripclaws, not to mention lockpicking and sneaking...
What's the deal with that embassy? *scratch*
Also, I noticed a new caravan that I've never heard anything about. The Kalfouin or something... They sell a non-inebriating drink, which is served hot... Is this something like Eldar Tea? Or has no one explored this area yet (Highly doubtful). I didn't get much time to look around though.
I never knew the desert down south would be so interesting. I feel a little like I deprived myself for a long time now.

Of course ppl have explored it (I was one of the first 1-3 person there), but (like ALL new "#ยค" areas on aa, it is so balanced, there isn't anything to kill) I never saw anyone but me use the drinks from that caravan. It doesn't make you drunk, but there is a limited supply, and it has to be drunk while hot, not to mention the annoying search for it (it moves) and all the typing to get in. And normally I go there soon after I had the cider from the monolith, so I tend to go crosslegged over it , and when I'm done crosslegged, its cold. Some clever wiz made some kinda "rug" you can sleep on and get fairly easy..... But how many complete newbies (who are only ones I can see have a use for it) goes ALL the way down there to explore, or even if they are told, will bother?

FenrilPolar, If you look back at some of the older posts here you will notice some Drakhiya threads. Be warned though, there could be some minor spoilers so only go search for them if you are getting stuck.

Well, I remembered I saw a few things about Drak somewhere, but I couldn't seem to find a topic on this board specifically, so I thought maybe it was another site. I'll try to find those topics though, thanks.
Edit: *snort* I'm blind! Sorry 'bout the new topic.
