Since Bytre just added the new alcove... anyone figure out how the Geo alcove works yet? Is it cumulative? Per boot? Your highest claim/disc total?

I had gotten 1600+ claims and 1200+ discoveries before that alcove was introduced. After it was introduced, I was #1 on it. After the following reboot, I was still #1. So I'm guessing it's accumulative throughout the reboots.
I don't think that's quite fair, though. What about all the times Tequilla and Jaidyn used to claims 2000+ everyday? Everything that's happened in Geo before yesterday, isn't accounted for, and that's not fair.

I agree, it's too bad that those old days when people actually did geo a bit more are not factored in. On the other hand, they had to start somewhere, and here it is.
It is a good idea to get interest in geo again, very rarely are many people acually out there trying for it any more. Just 1 or 2 per boot.

My beef with that is... if they wanted Geo to hold any grounds within HoH, they should've decided on that the day before geo was introduced. When geo first arrived, everyone gclaimed, and everyone gclaimed high. Being in geo wasn't just about getting 1 claim higher then the current #1, just to wear AoG. People wouldn't claim low rooms, just so someone can obtain AoG easily when they're done. Then geo died out a bit. And people became way too easy on it, when going after aoh/hoh. So now, geo's gonna be busy again, with ppl doing it just for a HoH rating, while had it been implemented from the get go, half the ppl now that will infest geo with claiming, wouldn't have stood a chance in the midst of Tequilla, Jaidyn, Martel, Delaney, Bleys, Cailet, etc etc.
Just doesn't seem like the right thing to do, much like handing out money to someone who lost a dollar in a vending machine today, but not to someone who lost it yesterday.

Perhaps there wasn't the foresight to know that geo would die in popularilty so much. But it has. And something is being done about it to try and promote interest again. These players are more then welcome to come back and start gclaiming again if they wish, and if they are so much better then everyone else then they can easily take the HoH rankings when they come.
Give it time, not everyone is going to go crazy with it forever and eventually it will die down again with those individuals who want to really take the time getting on the list like they deserve.

12 hours and only 1500 rooms? Man, that's sad. I'll claim 1000-2000 if I know I'll be tanking for Penny all day long, but that's the only time. Other then that, if I decide to try to keep on Geo's HoH alcove, I'll claim a little each day. Nothing drastic, but consistant.

As predicted, the interest in this died off fairly quickly, with few people going crazy with claiming any more.
