Here we go for some good knowlegde when raising thrown... is it realy worth it throwin hungas? I would only say yes if you want to do max dmg, but are you lookin to effy the cost vs dmg take a small look at this table. Weapon name | Cost | Max dmg at 100 tw | coins/max dmg | Hunga-munga | 1700 | 37 | 46 | Javelin | 742 | 24 | 31 | Hurlbat | 540 | 18 | 30 | Throwing knife | 536 | 12 | 45 | Barbed dart | 240 | 9 | 27 |
ps. the dmg info is taken from ghanimX's page ds.

very nice.
itd be cooler if you had the probability of the thrown weapon breaking! for example, if hunga breaks 2/3 times and throwing knives break 1/2 times, the relative usefulness of weapons would change!
Hope that made sense. Anybody have info on this?

How about the weight of each weapon sos you can see how many you could carry (javelins are more cost/dmg efficient than hungas, but if they weigh twice as much you can only carry half as many)
Any info. on darts or boomers?
btw I think the chance of breaking might be the same for all based upon number of fights they are used in (seeing as boomers used ~many~ times during the same fight seem to last for a similar number of -fights- as darts/ knives etc.)

Hmmm, I was just hopped over to Ghanime's site to check weights and according to his list, Hunga, javelin and hurlbats are all 2 bottles, with the rest of the thrown weaps coming in at 1. As far as cheap, light t-weaps are concerned, I'm sure everyone can agree that flasks of oil are the tops. How about someone do a test on their damage (@100 tw abilitiy) and post it here? And of course I mean total damage, not just initial

Who cares about the cost/dammage? In Sk you want dammage and you want it fast. If it costs you afew more coins for that dammage then it's a sacrifice you have to make to keep up with the competition.
If you decide to use darts just because they are more cash efficient then I'll tell you right now that you will be ripped apart.

Heaven forbid someone should want to use thrown weapons outside of SK. Jesus Christ, you probably think a throwing knife that did 40 damage and cost 5k would be great cos only leet SKers would use em. Sort your sh1t out already

Boy I wish people would read the posts, actually comprehend wtf they said, and -THEN- decide to post a note trashing the people that wrote the previous ones. Then you wouldn't end up with idiotic posts that aren't even following the purpose of the thread... *cough scale* Here we go for some good knowlegde when raising thrown... is it realy worth it throwin hungas?
Hmm... "raising thrown"... *ponder* Perhaps Peblo was talking about ways to raise your throw weapon ability so you hit and do more "dammage" when you're actually -in- an SK fight... and he's trying to point out that you don't need to spend 1700 coins a pop on hunga-mungas, when all you're killing is NPCs to raise the ability. Of course, if you don't care about coins, and would rather spend them when you're killing NPCs instead of saving them for heals and hungas when you're getting owned in an SK fight... that's your perogative... but you might just end up getting "ripped apart" when you run out of heals.

Peblo, go my style. Never post anything of substance. Make snide comments while you denegrate people. Oops I'm sorry, that's Methos' style.
Ok, same as above, but do in a fashion where people think you know stuff, but you don't. And oh yeah, lots and lots of sarcasm.
