I was wondering, there is always talk about what magery school is best, and I realize that generally speaking this is alteration (it's like playing a buffing class in MMORPGS--just makes life easier) but, I was wondering, what about an alter w/ some drowgar spells like spider legs/vemon spit/web defenders (the mini-tank criters, whatever they are)
I know, that this would be MAD mp consuming, so only elf/helf would be a wise choice, and you'ld need things like medallion to get that drowgar MP down, but what do you think. You'ld have to sacrifice haste, which is weak for elves (as their low STR makes them hit weakly w/ a stave) but you'ld gain the ability to go the extra mile thanks to web defender, and spider legs could stack up for nice damaing.
Next question -- for pking (again, I'm sure this is another constant question)
what do you guys think of CK + AMS in the room, vs something like alteration buffing w/ drowgar kick ins (again, web defenders, venom spit, spider legs ect)
I figure (assuming going the CK + ams way)
ck is what, 10-20 damage a round?
so that's 10-20, plus a staff hit 10-20, plus a hunga 20-30, plus aa 50 (plus acid burn next round)
so that is (in theory) 90-120 in one round, which can be a HUGE damage, but it's 40-90 in the off round (averaging out at 65-110 a round) which, I'm not sure if that's too weak.
Now, w/ alter fully buffed, to make it simple we'll say damage/round is the same from melee combat (though probably it will be more), you'll take less damage, and w/ venom spit and AA timed perfectly you can do like 100+ damage in one round with just those 3 components.
What are your thoughts on either strats. Good, bad, ugly, or hybrid ideas? Please, post.
