It doesn't seem to do much (or anything) for high end weapons
But: if a sharpened weapon does just 1 more point of damage per round on average, and we assume that we're in combat for 20 rounds every minute, that's an extra 20*60 = 1200 damage every hour
double that if you're dual wielding
sure would stack up
...assuming 1 more point of damage/round

*peer* Well..... I can't say for certain... but I don't remember getting as many masses with Crescent as I did the other night after I sharpened it. *grin* It was pretty sick. And it seemed to bc a lot, too. *shrug* Either that, or it's just my PiggyPowah!!!

Okay here’s all I learnd-ed ‘bout sharpening so far. It aint much or even guaranteed but I did play with it some on the test mud before it got instituted.
-sharpening don’t last forever, sometimes you gotta do it again, haven’t played with the hone/strop much -the oil from the weapon seller in Daliar keeps the stone wet longer -sharpen the blade and the point (depends on weapon) -forget about uniques -you can sharpen throwing knives -the more ya sharpen, the less the messages of “you suck at sharpening†happen -the bonus for selling sharpened weapons is:"not much at all"
