*snicker* Hey, ya never know... there's throwing rock chips from Hopkins' area... so... it is possible!!!
And yeah... um...... perhaps checking the dates on these notes might just be an idea? Cuz holy hell, those posts are from 2003-4.... and, well..... uh.... how do I put this? NONE OF IT APPLIES TO AA TODAY!!!!!
Back then, JDR / stick or JDR / arrow was good. Hell, dual arrows worked great for spear skill!! Today, after the Two Weapon Skill was added...... just jdr/jdr or cblade/jdr owns. dual osabres... dual forbs... and there's about a gazillion new weapons coded into the game that were made specifically for dualing, in the new 2weap skill era...... so yeah, the posts in this thread are pretty much useless.

Calf,
What do you think is the most damaging dual staff combo, not necessarily the one that raises the quickest.
I'm assuming two weapon works the same across all classes.
Assume staff skill greater than 90.

carved/black wis/black wis/wis carved/carved
not sure about tarran or staff of prot. you could also get a ficer-made staff of lightness. hrm...
i know that a ranger can make a staff then it can be shoed. how heavy is it then? too heavy to dual?

What Pillar said.......... but I wouldn't use the black staff unless you're not tanking, cuz the +1 dex is nice, but the -1 con kinda sucks... uh.... cheap? *shrug* if you find em in the shop, anything's cheap. Blackened gladius is a shortsword that's specifically made to make your 2weap skill go up faster if you wield it in the offhand prettymuch everything in the Lost Clan area, battlehammers, hooked axes, halfspears, etc etc etc is made for dualing.....

Guest..the battlehammers aren't just for dwarfs.
Good job on the 40 2wep..I know how hard I have worked for my mere 24, and they mostly came from the battlehammers too, as a human.

I've used battlehammers quite a bit with my pally and gotta say was not very impressed, i expected alot more out of them, but my pally is human, so that may explain it i guess. Even used em once with GotD and a hammer god ring which brought the respective skills up to 93/90 tw/club and I was quite disappointed with the dmg output

They're not just for dwarves.... but.... you get chances for extra hits if yer a dwarf. And the point of the battleslammas is NOT to do damage. Cuz quite frankly they blow moose dick for damage, even for dwarfies. The point of them is that they're light, and good for skilling 2weap for any race, as well as club, and as a dwarf, since they got shit dex and the slowest skilling rate, they give extra hits, which means more chance of skilling faster for the poor dwarfie..........
