i love bashing as a cleric. one of my favorite two man parties is bashing as a cleric for a tanking rogue. when you combine the two, the results are pretty sweet.
for the rogue, just use regular tanking eq, but light armour for he will be carrying his own heals. in the sack, he should carry about 6 pots, 8 knigs, and 3-4 drinks.
for the cleric, a hard-hitting weapon: krak, ssm, desty, or tetty. use the double sacks, for he will be doing all the eq. also, i would carry about 5-6 meds with me, a pipe, and some tabaq. this way, you can bind yourself and the rogue, while keeping your own sps high.
i would set an alias to:
alias q pray fix <tank>
on hard monsters, fix him at approx 100 hps. on a 3-4k monster, 80 hps should be fine. make sure you keep your prayers current on him too. for example, if you are fighting holo spirit, sati, or red dragon, pray fire on your tank. likewise, pray cold for lich.
a decent party by my definition is one that pulls over 100k per person. this can easily be accomplished by using the above methods.

I love bashing as a cleric, however I find that alot of tanks prefer fighters because they still tend to do more damage. I guess it all depends on the tank. I find a good party is anyone who does all three things.
A) 80k per person per hour. B) No-one dies. C) At least 10k coins positive per person per hour.
Cory, I don't ask for much

100K is just such a nice round number!
As a cleric tank, bashing a cleric/paladin basher is pretty much pointless, much more need for dmg than some healings.
A cleric bashing for a rogue or something is much more usefull.
Actually I only really started to bash with Ivan lately, and extremly few person I wanna bash for... tanks suck, and I don't wanna work as a basher just to be bored.

Tanks obviously.
But clerics bashing for necros sound interesting. Fixing the necro after he empowers seems to have a lot of potential imo. Of course this is in theory.
Btw Ivan, what's your aversion to using clubs? Too busy skilling the other weapon types?

The main reason why I'm not using club so much lately is because it is at 100. Spend 10M xp maxing it, 10M tanking with 100, and 10M xp raising ls, so its not like I don't use clubs much. (me think me posted this somewhere already)

I couldn't care less than xp, just don't bore me to much! And there is no fucking way, I'll use a club while bashing, no tank is good enuff for me to use it. You can't call 110K pr person in a 2 person party rocking... If much less its crap... Btw, no matter wot armour you have, you can pull same xp, you'll just use way more heals. ok, maybe not rocking for you but I thought it was decent for me, considering that I hadn't played a cleric in ages. Plus I hardly used any pots at all(you should know as u purged me last nite,i was almost clean!), just berries/apples/ham/carrot/wastelbread/firebreather/smokes. When some people start moaning about necros pulling big numbers they should take a step back and look at a decent fighter/cleric combo. If I had of spent most of the loot cash(like i do with necros if pushing it) on heals then I'd say i would be approaching the same numbers per hour a necro can pull. Fair enough a necro can do it solo but fighter/cleric(or wotever combo) could almost get the same amount of exp each as a solo necro with a lot less typing:)

i know this is scary to say, but.. i agree with ivanhood. anything less than 100k/person in a party is boring as hell. i also agree with him about the club thingy. mine's at 100 also, and there is no way i'm gonna use it again. why not raise something else that ain't at 100? it's stupid not to.
when ktulu (fighter) and i (cleric) party together, we always pull down at least 200k/hr, and about 20-30k profit each. that's standard. i dont understand how or why you would do less...

ok, fair enuf if ya wanna raise another skill but when u say u are never gonna use club again, that sounds silly to me. like why bother getting club to 100 if u are never going to use it! the whole reason, well for me, to get club as high as possible is to be able to use better weapons and hit harder/more often and deal out lotsa damage!! My club is around 96 now and when it hits 100(if i dont die again before that...mumble lag) I'll continue to use it as often as i do. That's not to say I won't use any other weapons in the meantime. I have flail/staff up to around 90 too but if i'm using say hjem and I come across azakath then I might swap around. Same goes for if i'm using m.star and come across krakadoom, I'll definitely swap!! I suppose you play whatever way you like playing in the end.

i refuse to use a skill that is at 100 for the following reasons:
1. the only reason i got it there was to "say" i got it there. 2. i want to get more skills to 100. 3. i orgasm everytime i get the message, "Your skill in Blah has gone up!" 4. ivanhood's ass is nice.
i think that's all.
