Actually, there is several bashers that can kill and hence, get more hits in. Not many, but some. The problem is that many bashers just use dotimes 100 assist, and then go idle, renewing dotimes every 3 mins.
Sheal > disarm. Big weapon > weapon that disarms.
Sheal first, then use spare sps for disarm. And if you can't sheal, mights as well not disarm, and save up some eq space. And if you don't change weapons to disarm, but only wield say a rapier to disarm, it is sooo not worth it.
Sheal - DEFINITELY worth it.

Well, I've been called a "good basher" by a few ppl on these forums. I plan on switching lanes and trying to become a "good tank" as soon as Machine reaches 50 million xp, which will happen by the end of the week. So, if I'm indeed a good basher, I'll share some of my info, so I might help decent basher become good, so I can benefit from it, with my tank alt.
First, and foremost, if you're skilling, be thankful someone is willing to tank for your dual weeding hook wielding ass. If you're dualing, your weapons normally are lighter then a big damage weapon, so you should do eq. 2 knapsacks. 1 soft sack or knight's pack for your own personal heals, whether they be smokes, medicinals, or drinks. I also keep a flame dagger and a light source inside this 3rd container. Eq basher does like this: get all from corpse, put all in container1, get all from corpse, put all in container2. I'll get into my aliases later.
If you're on heals, you need 1 container (knapsack preferably) to store heals inside, incase you're wary of a rogue. The heals basher should be carrying all the area items (flame dagger, paint/brush, extra holy scrolls, keys if needed, etc etc). Also, being the heal basher, you've got a ton of extra room, so you should be carrying the secondary light source if your tank is a rogue, so he/she doesn't have to take their light from their container, drop it, then stab. You should also be carrying medicinals on you. Use a dotimes 100 bind mytank's wounds. I carry some of the things on me, that I mentioned a heal basher should carry, simply cuz I don't like waiting or expecting someone else to be prepared, so I make sure I have it just incase.
Obviously, I'm a Scyther. So I do a few extra things while bashing. I constantly observe pstat "ps", to keep an eye on my tank's HP/SP status. At the end of the fight, if I'm above 100 HPs, I'll sheal my tank once on high if they're 120 or below. I also clear the ground of litter, if my tank isn't Scythe or Chaos and can't destroy garbage. Less trash, happier AA. Less spammy, too. I also try to smash/headbutt the doors as quick as possible, so the tank doesn't have to worry about it.

Also, as a basher, heals or eq, constantly check out opponent's health. If you're heals, soon as opponent hits 'almost dead', snag the heals and get ready to bind if nessicary. Eq basher, soon as you see 'almost dead', start hitting '1' (which is get all from corpse), and be ready to hit 2, 1, 2, 3, 4. Me personally, soon as opponent reaches AD, i keep hitting 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4, until I see that I've looted as much as I can from the corpse. A smart idea, might be to make an alias to announce you're full on the party line, which I'll be making soon as I'm done here. Oh, and also, heals basher it is very crucial that you make your tank aware when you begin to run low on your various heals, instead of being caught in the middle of Zhammar and having to say "Oh, I don't have any" when the tank asks for heals during the Cold Hand Clan fight.
Basically, what it all boils down to is alot of common sense. Try to stay one step ahead of the tank. The more you bash for a tank, the smoother the party machine functions and essentially, the more exp/cash you pull in. Always be ready to complete area activities which let you into or out of the area. Always be ready to get all from corpses, from the ground, take heals, drop heals and whatever else it takes to ensure the constant movement of your party. That's your responsibility as a basher. The tank provides the kills, you provide the clean-up.

ps: I'm quite sure I'm forgetting some things still, but you'll figure them out.

My previous notes aren't really all that complicated. All it is, is an accumulation of all the habits, traits, and tricks I've picked up from bashing for the past 5+ years. Bashing is just like anything.... the more you do it, the better you get.

Unless you happen to be a stupid rookie basher. Then you're doomed to a life of bashing, without ever getting any better. *sigh*

I've got some questions...
Is there a way to only get loot from the sack and sell it at shops, for speed (If necessary... weapons/armor shops obviously wont buy your heals, but do any other places?)
Do the race-kill aliases ever target players? For example "Kill elf" against your tank?
Polar, aspiring basher.

to kill human chars you have to type the whole name in every action you wanna do. race/opponent/etc wont work.
to sell, just use alias to drop all heals and alias to get from sack and sell then get all heals

lemme clarify what the wannabe american was trying to say..
1. Is there a way to only get loot from the sack and sell it at shops, for speed (If necessary... weapons/armor shops obviously wont buy your heals, but do any other places?)
first thing you should always do when playing aa is utilize the 'keep' command. keep your sacks, weapons, and armour. never keep the party's heals, because you will be dropping them. when you get to a shop, drop the heals using your spiffy alias system, sell your crap, then pick back up the heals. like so:
9 (drop all kniggets) 0 (drop all potions) ta (take all from sack) sa (sell all) ta 2 (take all from sack 2) sa (sell all) 99 (get all knigget) 00 (get all potion)
2. Do the race-kill aliases ever target players? For example "Kill elf" against your tank?
No. Even though you may have your alias system set up to:
kh - kill human kk - kill undead kd - kill dwarf ke - kill elf kdr - kill dragon kc - kill calvin
using these will never attack a player, only npc's. hope this helps.
p.s. have you kicked a piggy today?

So I gotta pull this all off before the tank leaves and abandons the heals?
