The Fighter's Hall Inn in Infidian is run by Illit and Drith, seasoned fighter-types. Illit teaches fighters "Controlled Berserking", and his dartboard allows you to skill up Thrown Weapon ability. Drith will sharpen weapons if given a whetstone. Controlled Berserking modifies the Fighter's Berserk defense so the AC penalty is negated, and base AC is possibly enhanced as well. Please see this link for discussion on the Small Notebook's functionality: ancientanguish.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fighter&thread=881&page=1
Location
Get to the factor's hut on Inifidian via the Storm Lancer or a DDoor. Go 1w, all n, 2e, n, nw, e.
A Small Notebook - Controlled Berserking
If you impress Illit by winning all 4 bar games, he will teach a fighter controlled berserking by giving them a notebook. The fighter can then "study notebook" for ~60 SP to boost the AC of Berserk stance. Note that this bonus decays over time, requiring the buff to be recast for optimum efficiency. Each time it decays, you will receive a message saying you forget something about berserking. If you immediately study the notebook, the amount of SP needed to get back to 100% is less than 60.
Bar Games
The four games require stat/ability/skill levels to pass - the goal is to keep the small notebook for mid-higher levels.
Dartboard
Playing darts takes 3 darts. You can buy them off Illit for 200 each, or reuse off the board. Simply throw them at the board. After 3 have been thrown, you get a score and can start over. Every room reset, you can gain 4 points in the Thrown Weapon ability if you play long enough. If your ability is low enough, you can learn more than 4 points per reset. You need high Thrown Weapon and medium to high Marksmanship to get bullseyes consistently. Two bullseyes in a row are needed to impress Illit with a score of 39 or higher.
Bowling
Simply 'bowl pins' to play and 'reset pins' to start the game again. High dex is needed to knock all the pins down - I found 16 to be the low-end, and 15 nearly impossible. Three perfect bowls in a row are needed to impress Illit.
Drinking
Challenge Illit to drinking and then jog to sweat of the alcohol. A high constitution is needed to pull this off, and you will burn SP jogging. Pipe/Meds/Food recommend. This is somewhat of a random game.
Armwrestling
Challenge Illit to armwrestling, and then push to get his hand down. A high strength is needed to pull this off, and like drinking, you will burn SP to push. With 15 strength this was very hard, and with 18 it was pretty easy.
Once you beat the games, Illit will give you your notebook and you are good to go. You will need to get a new notebook each boot. I hope this helps all you fighter types out there.
