Playing around with ficer armour...
Killed a few moose up north and checked the damage they were doing to me unarmoured, then tested again with various sets of armour.
Unarmoured: 1-16 dmg, average of ~8.43 I'd guess a full set of useless would be same as unarmoured(if not worse;)
Full Set of Fine Lead: 1-16 dmg, average of ~8.64 Don't wear lead. it doesn't have a noticeable difference Evals at Very Poor
Full Set of Fine Tin: 1-16 dmg, average of 8.12 Tin was decent, could see a noticeable difference..still wouldn't use regularly. Evals at Serviceable
Will do more...these things take time.. Yes, I realize I should test against more than one kill. A full set is covering all except light body
p.s. I was not dodging. was using defend none.

Damage is very random. You need a MUCH bigger sample size to get an idea of what sort of protection you might be getting from armour sets.

damage is not that random.. ive recorded 10-20 sets of 100 hits from moose and all have been within 50 dmg total and never been more than +/-1 average damage (naked, of course) Though im betting you're right about bigger kills such as thraxi that can do much more damage
And besides, im getting estimates. not going for exacts. And with lead armour on, you can see a noticable increase of damage. it isnt all statistics.

I was thinking more along the lines of damage as it compares to armour. Because of the way armour works.
