Ignore the TT codes and such. The quickest and easiest and BEST way to post code is to do the following:
• Place your code in Notepad or a similar application that won't try to translate and alter your code.
• Search and replace " " (that's two concurrent spaces) with " " (that's one space and one text string of which is the HTML hard non-breaking space. This keeps HTML from dumbing down spaces like it likes to do and forces a <pre> or [.TT] effect on spacing.
• Place [.font=Courier New] (without the beginning period) at the very beginning of the code.
• Place [./font] at the end of your code.
• Example:
[.font=Courier New]#pragma strict_types
void create()
{
::create();
set_name("boo");
set_short("boo who");
set_long("Why ya cryin'?");
}
[./font]
• Which will produce:
#pragma strict_types
void create()
{
::create();
set_name("boo");
set_short("boo who");
set_long("Why ya cryin'?");
}
• Instead, you may use the [.quote] tag and just learn to live with the word "Quote:" above your makeshift code box:
[.quote]
[.font=Courier New][.size=2]#pragma strict_types
void create()
{
::create();
set_name("boo");
set_short("boo who");
set_long("Why ya cryin'?");
}
[./size][./font][./quote]
#pragma strict_types
void create()
{
::create();
set_name("boo");
set_short("boo who");
set_long("Why ya cryin'?");
}
• If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, comments, disagreements, or whatnot, please feel free to post.
