Any idea on relation between stats and Arty abilities yet? I've noticed that my 19th level Dwarven smith seems to have capped at 85 alchemy/93 research/and much to my dissapointment...75 artifice. His craftsmen still too low to tell yet.

Update.... Level 20 dwarf smith....alchem seems perma-stuck at 85 and artifice now seems quite unlikely to move until next level at 89. Craftman is at 83 and still moving nicely.

lvl * 4 +9 for speciality.... lvl * 4 -1 for non-speciality. So, for smith, craftsman, artifice = 20*4+9 or 89.... non-speciality like runes, wands = 20*4-1 or 79. *shrug* As far as alchemy, I dunno. I'm gonna go test that out right now... since I'm also a lvl 20 dwarf smith. Edit: Ok, 79's the cap, so that means Alchemy is a non-smith ability. Whee.

Morask leaves the board and spends a quick 6 months at punctuation school. *cough* Bows deeply to Mr Tehlung, "may i beg a thousand pardons for so deeply offending you with my gross use of punctuation." With my crass use to punctuation i was trying to convey a query, as to what it is, i may do doing wrong with the gaining of Artificer skills. My current predicament is the following: my craftsman skill is currently 14 and not advancing, I am using the skill often, by forging, smelting and scrapping various objects.
Is there anything i can do to advance this skill at a faster rate? Yours (humbly hoping not to waste any more of the mighty tehlungs precious time) Morask
