If there are any comments or questions about my guide or wizhood in general, you can ask me here or mudmail me in game or message me on here. I'll answer the best I can without breaking wizrules.

how does one avoid the politics among the patricians wizards?
how does one avoid getting most of their ideas shot down and/or noone answering their coding questions because they were a plebian powerplayer as a mortal?(ie: machine, probably wolvie/frosty too)

Avoiding the 'politics' is simple. Macavity, Oliver, Frostbite and Wolverine are all gone, Paldin is no longer in charge of balance. There are no politics so there is no avoiding that needs to be done.
If powerplayers' coding questions don't get answered, then I must not be a powerplayer because I didn't have that problem. So I can't be any help with that question.
If your ideas get shot down, then re-refer to the guide. It's because either a) it's very hard or messy to code b) it sucks c) it'll never pass balance d) it'll never pass world or e) it sucks. Fix it and you'll be fine.

Who says we're gone?
I'm not saying we're not, just trying to spur controversy and hopefully give someone a headache.

Yeah, 'cuz Frosty, Wolvie, and I might be running around as rogues, plundering the pockets of AA and calling ourselves the Los Bannedados!

How to avoid the politics:
Even though there is something wrong with the system, and even though you have ideas that would apparently fix those problems, don't say anything. If you do, you'll eventually drive off the people who were part of the problem with the system and then get kicked off only to watch your ideas to fix some of the problems get implemented to good effect.
The best bet is to stand there like an idiot and let everything remain broken. But most importantly, the admin will feel good about themselves.

But more seriously, Dafeon is probably right in that there are no longer any politics. Just looking at how boring the boards have been the last month or two (I haven't checked in the past week or so), and since they made those changes mentioned previously, there probably isn't as much discontent.
I guess the only thing you guys can complain about is that Dafeon hasn't implemented something this month yet? (Were the Scythe lists this month or last?)

And against my better judgement, I break down and check the adv's board and to my dismay, is all about Aussie parties. Hey, if any of you are in attendance, and Paldin shows up, inflict some bodily harm on him for me? Oh wait, that's right, I can't joke about that stuff. People take it way too seriously. So yea, nobody hurt him. Besides, I'm sure he is still hurting from giving up his balance archship.

One month ago exactly, actually.
I've got a fairly major area and the lostclan expansion at final approval at the moment, shouldn't be too long now...

Dafeon seems to get areas into the game faster than anyone else. I think I know how it does it. He is a coder at some crappy mud and is slowly copying all his code that he developed over the yeras from the old mud to AA. Or he could just be really good but the first idea sounds better.

the fresh area is a newbie area so no worries about getting killed there
and if i had code from another mud to steal from, i'd be pumping them areas out even faster!

Too bad we didn't have a copy of the mud circa 1998 to steal code from...
Frosty misses Demon Plate Armor.... sad

Well, I've gone and done it. I've wizzed Yawn. I've got past world and got my WI file approved, and I'm just about finished coding my area...didn't even get an edu assignment yet! Just want everyone to know that Daffy's ideals are not lost! I have many ideas for MUCH bigger areas/npcs...so any suggestions will be noted. Thanks to everyone who helped along the way!

Best of luck to you. It can be a lot of fun and lots of long hours typing away.
