Well. Um. I think this has something to do with Ilderia. And if it's not quest info, I hope someone will be able to answer it. - Ti

Not a quest...
First, go to Ilderia and find the Song mage. Say "history" or "story" and you will be sucked away into a dream. Watch and learn until you see a death knight waving an axe. "Take axe" to get the bronze axe. "Wake" from the dream. Go n, w, n, to the wicked-looking tree and drop the axe.
Next, run up to the gnollish temple by steading. Kill the guard or any other gnoll in this place, and bring the corpse back to Ilderia. Drop the corpse at the wicked tree, take the axe, wield it, cut the tree. A deathwraith will be spawned.
Kill the deathwraith. When you kill it, type "capture cloud" with an empty bottle in your inventory. Leave the axe here if you want to do it again, since you can't bring axes into Ilderia.
The Ilderian cloudkill is a thrown weapon. Let me know your results if you use it.

Nah... not a hassle at all! *cough*
What I want to know, is how in the phuck did anyone ever figure out how to do that in the first place? Is there something in the history that tells you about it? Is there a book or some other reference to the gnoll temple and the deathwraith and having an empty bottle and capturing the cloud?? or is this one of those "the wizard tells their best friend, and he/she spreads it out so it becomes common knowledge, cuz there's no way in hell a normal person would ever pull that procedure out of their butt." things??

No, no books, no real references. Certainly no explanation of the series of steps needed to do it. The thing is that I generally think I'm only coding for very few people. I don't really expect the majority of players to understand or enjoy my areas. I just assume that most people will think they're too much of a hassle to figure out and go find something else. I do provide the very, very occasional hint to small parts of an area but never when the area has only recently gone in and not before somebody else has figured it all out on their own (some people found figuring out how to enter the Silver Circle in Rune a tough one). I love creating areas that give people the sense of satisfaction that they're really figured something out. Too many areas out there don't have a point. To be perfectly honest the biggest problem is in coming up with an area that Druenarrii doesn't figure out in 30 seconds

Prince Druenarrii the Grand Knight and Protector of the Rose (good) <c135 m11 d53 35.8mx>
Status: Mortal Gender: Male
He was last logged in 212 days, 5 hours, 44 minutes and 21 seconds ago.
Guess that's not such a problem any more...

Tossed cloudkill at Sage. He was only slightly hurt after the cloudkill dissipated. Bah!
