I haven't checked it out, because just according to the post given on it, it seems rather dull. A shipyard that needs help. Sounds like a lowbie-middie exploration/quest area to me. Of course, I'm just assuming.

The only item of note that i've found is a low-middle level 2-handed axe.
Regardless, it's quite a nice little area that you can explore with your lowbie alts without worrying about insta-death. I also think theres a way to get your hands on some really good pieces of non-combat eq, but i've yet to work out how...

The wizards were quick to slam down a Gaius hint for this area as well. Seems to be an easy one to get as well.

There's a high-level knife (mirrored knife) on one of the sailors on the boat. There's also a chest containing 750 coins that can be easily smashed on the lower-aft side of the boat.
Once you help the sailors sail away, they leave without you on their exploration trip - pretty disappointing area in my opinion.
Anyways, you need to gather a mast (chop down a tree using woodsman's axe from area), find a compass case, a needle, buy a rope, an find an astrolabe. Give it all to the captain and they kick you off the boat and sail away. Pretty disrespectful if you ask me!

Spare a thought as to how I would cut down this tree? It has plagued me for some time.

For cutting down the tree... one of the trees will randomly be able to be chopped down. If you try to chop the tree with the woodsman axe and it fails, then you've found the wrong tree. Keep walking around the woods, and "enter gap" whenever possible, until you find the right tree to make the mast.

Any way of for instance putting all spoilers in specific thread so that there wouldn't be a danger of running into them when just reading through what people have to say about areas and such? I don't mind finding out that this and that fellow carries a special knife, but I'd rather find out how to solve all sorts of miniquests by myself.

You forgot to say "DUH!!!", Pillar. Whoever you are, Spoilering, the entire purpose of this forum is to share information with other players of Ancient Anguish. If you're having trouble with an area, or mini-quest, or if you want updated information on weapon/armours, and how to use them best... come here. If you're just looking for what people think about certain areas, but don't want to actually know anything about the details of said areas... well, I don't know what to tell ya. Maybe have a friend come here and proof-read all the posts, and tell you which ones are ok to read? Or have them take notes, and forward it to you? Or, of course, you could just follow Pillar's advice.

I think what Spoilering was wondering was basically if the posts from Eristam could be shoved into one thread so that people who don't want to be spoon fed the exact commands to every new area can avoid his posts.
Gotta say, I kinda agree, there's a major difference between how all you guys discuss areas and what Eristam does.
Yours, Pris
