Ok so I'm bored I figure'd I'll post some stuff about these...
Start off with what weapons quenlar will accept for each type.
Axe: Choppingweapon, dwarven mining pick
Longsword: fine silver sword, rune sword, exsquisite rune sword, Pendragon, Starblade, never tried anything else.
Two handed sword: steel greatsword, shadow sword
two handed axe: huge battle axe, crescent, mighty battleaxe
curved blade: orcish sabre, falchion, steel backsword, katana, an onyx-hilted hooked sword,
rapier: dwarven jeweled rapier, very fine rapier
polearm: huge halberd, decent scythe, awesome scythe, orcish poleaxe, superior bardiche
club: hjem, mighty maul, huge warhammer
Now, let it be said that ficer made weaponry made of tin or better at VF will suffice. If you give him a 1h version where its possible to make a 2h version, it will not suffice (because the difficulty will be too low)
Since its based purely on the difficulty of the weapon, if you can't find any of the above ones, I'm sure theres more I've missed out, so have a looksie at the weapons by skill range on www.aafordummies.com for ones in same range I've missed.
Now, these are what you can get
well-balanced battlehammers
halfspears
butterfly axes
hooked axes
serrated shortswords
dire flail
staff-mace
two handed spear
steel poleaxe
WBBH give bonus hits if your a dwarf, they also appear to hit quite a bit harder for dwarfs *shrug* never used em much
Hspears give u heaps of extra attacks, but imo unless your chun they always hit really weakly, great for raising 2w tho
Butterfly axes are probably my favourite, you get the chance for a 3rd hit, and they appear to do much more dmg then any of the other dualies, at least for me without berserk
Dire flail - awesome weapon, frightens your opponent randomly throughout fight, so he does not hit whoevers tanking!
These guys I've not used at all or very much, so if anyone has any info about em I'd luv to hear about them:
Hooked axes - appear to give some kind of defensive bonus,
serrated shortswords - *edit* never used these dunno
sharpened keen steel scimitars - Forgot about these!, I believe you get +10 or +20 riposte, per not sure how they hit, but NP parry if my memory serves me well.
staff-mace - apparently it uses both staff and club skills, no idea how though, possibly like chain staff? shrug
two handed spear - know nothing about this guy
steel poleaxe - seen it in use a few times, hardest hitting polearm in game I'm told, better then ascythe
If he doesnt offer you any of the rarer ones on the first go, simply keep giving him more weapons until he offers you more.
Also, I thought worth a mention, with the latest expansion of the area, I've noticed a new NPC called Yurten, this guy carrys a 'heavy staff-sling (wielded in both hands)'
Never used it or handled it, but that screams a second MMS weapon doesnt it! Someone should look into it, as my Pally never will
Feel free to add any comments info or if I missed anything out. Would love to know more about the ones I've not used much.
