For the record, I spend about my last year on aa, trying to get a maxed shifter to bash. I couldn't find a single one. I'm kinda sure, its not because I'm that crap a tank that shifters would think I'd ruin their xp efficiency. 300K is nice.... However some of us can pull that tanking with any class, including adventurers. (ok, I don't think I could pull with a tree shifter It does prove that Killcrazy can play the class good, not that the class itself are power. I only had a shifter maxing out tree, but I had way to many shifter bashers for my likings. And a shifter in my party would NOTABLY reduce the dmg my party was dealing. However, highend shifters could be of some use, hence why I wanted to see them in action. Paladin bashers can cure *tongue*, and their smite is pretty nice against demonics (and useless against nice, hence when cure is generally nicer to me) Breath sure... nicer.... But like all xaerre bashers I saw was xaerre. And they need to carry alot of crap heals just to stay in shape. A shape alot weaker than the berserk shape of a fighter. Paldin better not get to jaloux and decide fighters need to spend 10 sps pr second in berserk, so his shifters will look nicer. Oh, and Sinister got a point, you should disguss Tuga's ass more, Shifters less. Sure, both are furry, but one of them has a real use. (for the retard reading this, I am not serious)

I'm afraid it doesn't work like that. I've started a new shifter recently. I got him to chameleon 3, then built up to nelitos 3. I was still on the first time message for chameleon. So I advanced that, and learnt drakon. He's now on drakon 3, and still on the first time message for nelitos. When you upped to Nelitos 3, I bet it dropped the reptile pool down to close to zero, which put you on the first message for chameleon and nelitos both. Think of it this way, if you're on message 2+ for chameleon and 2+ for nelitos, you train nelitos, and chameleon is now on message 1, then they're linked. As I mentioned twice before in this thread last year, I didn't play cat once I had panther, yet I trained cat up to 4 and 5 after spending time in panther. Maybe it just takes a coder's mentality to understand how it all works. I'll have to see someone else test it out again, since I deleted my Excel sheets that I had kept time/xp logs in. --Aurac

Yeah, at least prove to me that I'm crazy. I hate just -thinking- that I am.

The board isn't dead. Save the canned whines for the big discussions. =)

While I'm here. I've started a shifter, he's reached nelitos 2 and chameleon 3, he hasn't changed out of form since he's got it, and he's still on the same time message for chameleon that he was. If the time message changes by the time I get nelitos 3 and exp for chameleon 4, I'll let you know, but it doesn't look like time in nelitos is aiding time in chameleon.

I think I'm just crazy. When I raised Koto a couple years ago, I must've spent time in cat and forgot about it. I've since deleted my Excel sheets, so I can't look it up. Maybe one day when I'm super bored, I'll go through my logs.
