Yes, AA is down...
It seems the whole machine is dead: no telnet, no web pages, no ping answer....

On behalf of AA Senate, I have been asked to relay the following message:
"Blame Musashi. Thank you. --The Senate."

Very simple analysis of the down time based on very little information: - not a driver problem - definitely a hosting problem whether it was a hardware, network or "somebody pulled the plug" problem etc. It would be nice if somebody from the AA's administration put a note after crashes telling the length of the down time and the reason (or a good guess ... aa's admin(for the most part), do not have the intestinal fortitude to post here. also, they do not control the content here, so it is a blow to their ego to come to our little bit of proboards paradise.
also, frosty or wolvie might call them based on a proboards post and vexatiously harass them.

Looks like it is again today, at least for me. Can't reach the NameServers, can't ping the IP. Gonna be a slow day for me I guess.

Imagine the reliability they could afford if they didn't enforce their vendettas through banishing donators...
Another brilliant business decision by our fearless leaders :-)

Mud hosting is not too expensive. Just take a look at this example: * three muds on unlimited megs of disk space * 120 megs of memory * three shell accounts -- for another mud, yourself, or your staff * unlimited TCP connections * two MySQL databases * two yourname.dune.net hostnames * two yourname.dune.net webpages * full SSI, CGI, Perl, PHP access * 40 e-mail aliases * 100 ports for your mud * free hosting of yourname.com (including www.yourname.com and @yourname.com e-mails) * fantastic support! * only $24.00 per month 120 MBs could be enough at the moment -- AA's used less than 100MBs the few last times I checked its memory usage. *shrug* ++Musashi
