Comrades,
I really don't feel like being at work today. What can I do for entertainment?

Sorry just to followup an old thread. A wise man once said "A horse by any other name is still a horse." Don't be fooled! When the government takes money from me and labels it FICA (payroll), I consider that a tax on income. The info you listed below only considers the official "Income Tax" So we're actually both right, but I chose to include all taxes. nah, i was pretty dead on about the 80% when i was just edimacated guessing it. pre-bush tax cuts post-bush tax cuts those are from 2004. naturally, posting 2004 data, i expect it to be questioned. so i found this little gem, dated July 18, 2008. from www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/250.html it is actually a pretty informative read if you can get past the numbers and try to think about what the numbers mean.

I'd assume those graphs include FICA. There's simply no way the bottom 50% of taxpayers still have the positive 3% contribution. Hell most of them get federal withholding back.
But you are correct in that SS/Medicare/FICA/whatevertheycallitnow is a tax on income. Luckily, employers pay half.

Depends on the baby and mom... everyone is different. My wife went 10 days early with the first, a week early with the second, and four days early with the last one. So, she's averaging about a week early on all three.
My sister and sister-in-law each went a week late with their first.
In the end, it doesn't matter if she's a week early, late, or right on time as long as the baby is healthy... and that he's a Browns fan.
