are you on crack? 200 sps every fight?
not to mention it'd take 6 rounds just to cast spider legs, spider bite and also web defender

are you on crack? 200 sps every fight? not to mention it'd take 6 rounds just to cast spider legs, spider bite and also web defender in class cost 32 + 42 +45 = 99 sps in schoo. That also only takes 4 rounds to pull off enter cast spell rogue ambushes you rescue, then you need 4 more rounds. After that tim thought you're doing MAD damage I never said that they were awesome, but they arn't as bad as you make them out to be

If you've done any (mage) tanking at all you'd know that 100 sps every fight is unsustainable for longer than 5 minutes
And most 4 man parties should have your average 9k at hurt or seriously wounded 6 rounds into combat - spider bite and web defender suddenly have virtually no use.
And if you ever have used web defender on anything decent, you'd see that it's about the most inefficient way to prevent damage ever - 600 coins and 30 odd sps for preventing at most 3 hits from a 9k, or just spend 700 coins on a murky?
Not to mention once the defenders die, the 9k randomly switches to someone, with the chances of that someone being a basher starting at 50% (for a 2-man) and at most 75% (4 man party). You're forced to rescue said basher, and that 9k sure will be at least doing 10 damage to you when you rescue.
Drowgar tanks are fine, spider legs is awesome, but haste is much superior to spider bite + web defender, even at its out of school cost of 90 sps.

Cremit (previous page): That's the best description of a drowgar mage going to town I've heard yet. *drools*

More of a man than you'll ever be... (I seriously thought of putting in a comment like "just ask your wife"... but I kinda wanna see 32, and Pillar has a rough idea where I live, and what kinda car I drive. So, yeah. I'll leave it at that.)

A drowgar "going to town" would rock so hard it would hurt. It would rock you 8 times the normal rockages one would recieve. That's a solo idea.... and 100 sps a fight is unsustainable? So basically soloing as a cleric is unsustainable? When soloing as a cleric it takes 1-2 fixes a fight for most clerics... here's the solution : ex drunk, heals, pots, smoking (and if you can get someone to follow) binder.

Well, Oh Clueless One, what he's talking about and a solo cleric are -completely- different things. A cleric soloing will take, what, 20-30 seconds to kill a lvl 19 npc? Maybe a minute? What Lanstro's talking about when he refers to a tanking mage, is a dead lvl 19 npc in under 10 rounds.
A lvl 19 kill with a solo cleric would take, what, 30-40 rounds? 50? And you spend 100 sps. The mage spends 100 sps in 10 rounds. That's 100 sps in 40 rounds for a cleric, 400 for a mage. Not quite the same thing.
